Quality – “We own it”
Here at PCL Contracting Ltd we believe in doing a quality job first time, on time and to budget.
To deliver on our mission statement we run a live quality management system that sits at the core of all our activities.
TQS1 is the NZQA approved quality management system and is the highest level of accreditation under this system.
Our quality assurance system is a series of work instructions and standard procedures supported by checklists and standard forms forming the “backbone” of the Contract Quality Plan and ensuring that quality is checked and monitored throughout the duration of a project. This system is regularly reviewed internally to ensure that our systems are meeting the ever changing work environment of civil contracting.
Senior management monitor the system on a regular basis to ensure standards are maintained.
Indicators to assist with monitoring include:
§ Customer feedback.
§ Regular auditing of the use of the Contract Quality Plan and the required reporting and recording functions.
§ Non Compliance items found/reported by the engineer through reviews, audits, inspection, public complaint or other source.
§ Monitoring of site condition for signs of deterioration that could be associated with quality of either workmanship or materials or method of construction.
§ Any other indicators developed during the contract period.
In addition the system is audited by a Transit approved third party auditor on an annual basis allowing us to maintain our accreditation.
