Norm Hewitt Legacy Award

Known as the Keeper of the Culture, Norm Hewitt and his whanau hold a special place at PCL. Norm worked alongside our tangata for over 10 years, mentoring, supporting, holding accountable and just being present in the moment. The legacy that Norm created within PCL started with a handshake in the morning and grew to incorporate many aspects of what we do today. From the creation of CRASH (Communication, Respect, Attitude, Support and Honesty), the upskilling of our people and the difficult situations when you ask ‘What would Norm say’

As a way to acknowledge Norms presence and impact across the business, the Norm Hewitt Legacy Award was created in 2023 and is given out during our Mid-Winter Well-being Event, with it fitting that Norm was the first winner of the award.

When selecting the winner of the award, everything that Norm stood for and helped create is considered from culture, growth, accountability, and presence.

We hope to honour Norms memory and legacy for many years to come.
