Civil Excavator Operator – Wellington

We are on the search for an experienced operator to work within one of our civil teams in the wider Wellington region, though this position is likely to be placed on jobs based in the Kapiti Coast/Levin area, so candidates based in these areas are preferred.

We have a strong focus on getting the right fit within our team, as our people are the most important part of our business. We generally work Monday – Friday, 7am – 5pm, however at times you may also be required to work Saturdays and outside of these hours to help your team get the job done.

To be considered for the role you will need to:

– Have extensive experience in excavation works, such as road pavement, preparation and drainage, with other mobile plant being an advantage. (rollers, dumpers)

– Hold a current class 1 licence with W.T.R endorsement

– Be competent at undertaking pre-start plant checks and have the ability to identify issues

– Carry out ground duties such as the use of plate compactors and all physical activities to support your team

– Health and safety minded and have a good understanding of best practice

– Be drug free and undertake pre-employment screening

– Have awareness of environmental requirements
