Full Facility Upgrade – Wellington
An extremely detailed full facility upgrade including drainage, utilities and roading. Due to all works being undertaken within a working site utilising existing services, a high level of risk assessment and planning was required to ensure the facility was able to continue BAU while the upgrade was constructed.
Extensive planning was required to ensure the new upgraded services do not clash with the existing services and that the facility maintained 24/7 operation whilst the existing services were integrated onto the newly constructed infrastructure. As the facility is a high-profile customer, stringent measures were put in place to ensure the facility continues to comply with existing regulations whilst undergoing the extensive makeover.
The project has required a hands-on approach to site management and problem solving to ensure these regulations continue to be met. Due to the nature of the facility a robust incident management plan was developed to make sure in the event of unforeseen circumstances, a recovery plan was in place. Through close collaboration with the client utilising clear communication lines and project meetings PCL were able to provide an end-to-end service with minimal disruption.
